PRIMER PU-2K

PRIMER PU-2K
DEFINITION
It is a two-component, polyurethane-based, solvent-borne, low-viscosity, transparent floor primer impregnation material. It has been developed to prevent sanding on all types of dry concrete and to ensure adhesion. It is flexible and never deforms between -10°C and +120°C temperatures. It can be easily applied to floors with underfloor heating. However, it is not recommended on subfloor floors in damp areas, seasides. Compatible with polyurethane adhesives.
PLACE OF USE
• As a primer layer before the application of epoxy or polyurethane top coatings on concrete, cementitious or epoxy mortars, on floors subject to medium and heavy loads,
• As a primer before the parquet adhesive in parquet applications on concrete,
• Polyurethane mortar, as a concrete primer in order to wet the concrete surface and provide a good bonding bridge before epoxy/polyurethane top coat coatings,
ADVANTAGES
• Low viscosity, flexible structure,
• High wetting ability,
• Dust and sand removal remover,
• Surface hardening feature.
CONSUMPTION
Maximum total consumption: 0.150 kg/m2.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
Surface Information
The application surface must be solid. The surface must have a compressive strength of at least 25 N/mm² and a pull-off test result of at least 1.5 N/mm². The age of the new concrete should be at least 28 days, depending on the season, and the concrete surfaces should have a maximum moisture content of 5-6%. All loose, volatile particles must be free from oil and paint residues, cement grout.
Extensive fractures and faults should be repaired beforehand. Cement shell and glossy screed on the concrete surface should be cleaned with tools such as sandblasting, notching machine, diamond drum wiping machine, driven grinder, and the surface should be roughened and wiped. The entire surface should be cleaned of dust with an industrial vacuum cleaner. Concrete surfaces in contact with the soil to be coated must be insulated against water and water vapor barrier beforehand.
Preparation of the Mixture
It is a two-component product and should be prepared in the specified mixture ratio, considering the pot life, as much as the amount to be consumed. In order to obtain a homogeneous mixture, the product temperature should not be less than 15°C. Component A should be mixed quickly with a mechanical mixer, and the hardener (component B) should be added by paying attention to the mixing ratio. A and B components should be mixed with a mechanical mixer for at least 3 minutes until homogeneous. Care should be taken to consume the prepared mixture within the pot life period.
Application to the Surface
The mixture, which is made ready for application, is applied by roller or airless spraying so that the surface is saturated and the pores are closed. The application time of the new layer on top of the layer is minimum 24 hours (20°C) and maximum 2 days. It is very important that the second coat is applied within the above-mentioned new coat application time. It reaches a full mechanical and chemical resistance in approximately 7 days.
