INNOPUR SEAL PU JET SELF-2K

INNOPUR SEAL PU JET SELF-2K
Product description
INNOPUR SEAL JET SELF. PU-2K, two-component, cold applied, chemically cured, smooth surface, polyurethane based coal tar additive, elastomeric, high abrasion resistance and adhesion power, not affected by fuels, hydraulic fluids and oils, suitable for heavy traffic conditions, highly flexible, dynamic It is a durable material. It is resistant to ultraviolet rays.
INNOPUR SEAL JET SELF. PU-2K is offered for sale in 10 kg tin sets as A+B component.
Usage places
It is produced for parking areas, cargo areas, bridges and roads. It is suitable for all joints and cracks where high flexibility is required. It provides superior adhesion and flexibility in concrete - concrete, asphalt - concrete joints and asphalt - asphalt joints. It is suitable for all kinds of horizontal joints in open fields.
Joint Design
The joint width should not be less than twice the expected movement or 6mm. In joints narrower than 16mm, the filling depth should be adjusted equal to the width. For joints between 16-26mm, the joint depth should be equal to 80% of the joint width. For joints between 26-36mm, the joint depth should be adjusted as 20mm. For larger joints, please contact our company.
Base material should be used in the joint so that the depth can be adjusted. The base material should be placed at the calculated total joint and chamfer depth. Calculated dimensions for some joint widths are in the table.
In new concrete sites, the design of the false joints left during or opened after pouring and the form of filling are also important in order to localize the cracks caused by shrinkage that may occur during and after drying. It is recommended that you review our technical documentation on the design of joints.
Advantages
-Cold applied
-Hardens chemically and gives a smooth surface by itself
-Very high wear resistance and adhesion strength
-Dynamic movements resistant structure
-Ideal for all joint and crack repairs where high flexibility is required
-Provides superior adhesion and flexibility in joints between asphalt and concrete and between asphalt and asphalt
-Resistant to hydraulic oils, dilute acids and bases, various chemicals
- Completely resistant to UV rays
-It can provide faster or slower curing according to user needs.
Liner
INNOPUR SEAL JET SELF. PU-2K can be applied to new concrete joints without a primer. However, in any case, the application of the primer minimizes the negative effects of possible impurities, concrete dampness and loose material. For this reason, it is recommended to use a primer on all kinds of surfaces where there is constant water contact with plastic, glass and similar surfaces.
Base Material
In order to provide the filling depth to be determined according to the joint width, preferably a wick that does not adhere to the filling material should be placed in the joint. The diameter of the wicks should be 10-25% more than the joint width. The wick should be placed in the joint by tightening. Care should be taken not to damage the wicks during insertion. Semi-rigid materials such as polystyrene foam can be used instead of roving in wide joints. In these cases, a polyethylene tape should be placed on the base material to prevent the sealant from sticking.
To mix up
INNOPUR SEAL JET SELF. PU-2K consists of two components called A and B and they are packaged in the appropriate mixing ratio.
Component A's box is opened, and first it sits inside itself for 1-2 minutes. It is mixed, then the entire B component is poured over the A component and mixed with a low speed drill and a suitable propeller or paddle for 3 min. mixed with time. In manual mixing, it is necessary to mix for a longer time to ensure a homogeneous mixture. During mixing, the mixer should be moved all over the container and care should be taken not to let air into it.
Application
The amount of sealant that can be used within the pot life should be determined by considering the application site and the capacity of the application apparatus. It is necessary to use the mixed material within the pot life. No solvent should be used to thin the putty that has completed its life.
The prepared mixture is filled into a refillable piston application apparatus (putty gun - applicator). In both types of application, an outlet (nozzle) with a diameter that can enter the joint should be attached to the apparatus and this tip should be advanced by sliding over the base material in the joint while applying the sealant. Thus, it is ensured that no gaps are left under the putty and that sufficient amount of putty is applied. After application, the putty surface should be arranged with a spatula. The application can also be done directly with the help of a spatula. It is recommended to stick tape on both sides of the joint before starting the application, especially in joints where decorative appearance is important. Thus, the material smeared outside the joint during the application is removed with the tape that is removed after the application.
Limitations
Not recommended for joints narrower than 4 mm. It cannot be used on dirty, oily, bituminous and wet joints. Cleaning such joints before application ensures good adhesion.
