AQUA GUARD BITUMEN-1K

DEFINITION
It is an acrylic bitumen based liquid membrane which is used against water and moisture, ready to use, one component, reinforced with elasticity additives. After the evaporation of the water in it, it adheres perfectly to the surface it is applied to, forming an elastic layer that is resistant to water and humidity.

First floor: 0.8-1.5 kg / m2
Second floor: 0.8-1.5 kg / m2

With airless spray
First floor: 0.7-1.4 kg / m2
Second floor: 0.7-1.4 kg / m2

STANDARD CONCRETE SURFACE REQUIREMENTS
Hardness: R28 = 15 Mpa.
Humidity: W <10%.
Temperature: 5-35 °C.
Relative humidity: <85%

Usage Areas
• On horizontal and vertical surfaces,
• Under coating in terrace insulation,
• In the insulation of foundations and basements,
• In the isolation of leakage water in closed and wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, toilets,
• On asphalt and concrete floors,
• On cracked surfaces or in insulation applications that must withstand higher pressure water, plaster mesh, isolation cloth, etc. used with the equipment.

APPLICATION AND SURFACE PREPARATION
The surfaces must be clean, sound, free of carrier and free particles. Layers that will reduce adherence, such as oil, grease, dirt, paint, cement grout, rust, mold oil, salt bleed, must be thoroughly purified before application. BITUMEN 1K is ready to use and one component. It can be mixed until it reaches a homogeneous consistency before application. Mixing should be done with a low speed mixer. BITUMEN-1K product is applied to the surface with a roller/brush/airless. Geotextile or mesh can also be applied before the product dries. After the second coat dries for 4-5 hours depending on the outdoor temperature, it is applied to the first coat in a way that cross-links is formed.

APPLICATION
It is applied with a bitumen brush or spray. It is ready to use and should be applied in at least two coats without thinning. It dries in about 4-5 hours depending on weather conditions. It should not be applied in rainy weather or at temperatures below (+)5°C.

PACKAGING AND CONSUMPTION
16 kg liquid is presented ready to use in plastic packaging.

CLEANING
Tools and equipment are cleaned with water.

SHELF LIFE
It can be stored for at least 24 months in its dry unopened original packaging and at temperatures of 5-25 °C. Once opened, use it as soon as possible. Protect from freezing conditions.

WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS
• Do not apply on wet and frozen surfaces.
• This product is not suitable for pressurized waterproofing.
• The newly applied material should not be exposed to rain and frost for 24 hours.
• In applications that will be exposed to sunlight, the thickness should be at least 1 mm.
• Pay attention to the safety signs and warnings on the packaging.
• Adequate ventilation should be provided in the workshops, open flames and high temperatures should be avoided.
• Mix well before application. Do not leave the lid of the package open.
• Avoid application in weather conditions where precipitation is expected and under precipitation.
• The skin should not come into contact with the eyes and mouth, and the application should be made by taking the necessary safety precautions. Avoid applying at temperatures below +10°C and above +35°C, do not try to use frozen material by adding dust and water.
